Adding Desk Panels
Note - Only users with the permission to Manage Floors may edit the floorplan.
Adding Desks to Floorplans
- Enter the Panel Edit Mode by clicking the Edit button, then Desks, at the top right of the screen. The edit tools will now appear.
2. Click the Add button in the top toolbar.
3. A new panel will appear at the top left of the floorplan. The desk name can be edited, and the panel can be moved and resized.
4. Press the Save button in the top toolbar when you are finished in Panel Edit Mode. This will confirm changes made.
Adding Desks by Right-Clicking
- Enter the Panel Edit mode as described above.
- Move your cursor over the area you wish to create an desk panel.
- Right-click and select Add Panel.
4. Optionally re-name the panel by typing the new name.
5. Move and resize the panel and select Save to confirm the addition.
Dragging Desks from Lists to Floorplans
Dragging and dropping is a quick and convenient way to quickly add desk panels to floors from Lists.
- Enter the Panel Edit Mode by clicking the Edit button, then Desks, at the top right of the screen. The edit tools will now appear.
- Open the side menu, and navigate to the Desk List, Tools > Assets > Desk List, or any custom desk list.
- Drag and drop the pin icon next to a desk name to the floorplan. The desk will be placed where the mouse cursor is, and can then be re-positioned more if needed.
- A 'person' icon next to a desk indicates someone is currently assigned, and the desk can not be moved. Please remove the employee from the desk first.
- A green icon indicates that the desk is not currently assigned to a floor or map.
4. If a desk is in another location or on another floor, it will be removed from the old location, and placed in the new location.
5. Select Save to confirm any changes.
Adding Desks to Maps
1. In the Side Menu, go to Tools > Assets > Desk List.
2. Select the desk to be added to the map from the Desk list.
3. When the Desk Form appears, click the Edit button.
5. In the floorname field, select Map.
6. Click the Save icon to confirm the change.
7. The desk panel will appear at the center of the chosen map. To further position, enter Panel Edit Mode, and drag the desk to a new location.
Dragging Desks from Lists to Maps
- View the Map you'd like to add a desk or asset to.
- Enter the Panel Edit mode.
- From the Side Menu, open the default Desk list, or any other list that displays desks.
4. Select the green + icon next to a desk/asset name to add it to the map. The panel will be added to the center of your viewpoint.
- A green + indicates the desk is available for moving.
- A 'person' icon indicates someone is currently at the desk, and it can not be moved. Remove the employee from the desk first.
- A red - icon indicates the desk is already on a map. Click the icon to remove the desk from the map.
5. Optionally drag and drop the panel to adjust the position.
6. Save any changes.
